Provide evidence before asking for polish

Start with actual responsibilities, projects, skills, and outcomes. Where a number is unknown, leave it unknown rather than asking for an impressive estimate. Set an editing goal such as clarity, relevance, or concision. Keep the original passage so you can compare a suggestion against its source.

Review facts and meaning separately

Check for introduced technologies, employers, qualifications, team sizes, and metrics. Remove anything unsupported. Then inspect the meaning: supported a migration and led a migration are different claims even if no new technology was named. A stronger verb can overstate your ownership.

Original: helped test a reporting tool. More precise: tested [specific behavior] and documented [verified findings]. Avoid rewriting this as leading the entire quality-assurance program.

Keep the wording you can stand behind

Read the result aloud. Remove inflated phrases, redundant adjectives, and language you would not use in a real conversation. The final document should help you explain your work truthfully. If a sentence looks impressive but feels difficult to defend, simplify it or return to the evidence.

Share only the context needed

Career tools do not need government identifiers, account passwords, bank details, or private material belonging to someone else. Review the privacy policy and retention controls. Career Hub lets you delete stored session content from a tool page. When AI is enabled, supplied input is processed by OpenAI and its provider policies also apply.

Questions worth asking

Do source checks guarantee accuracy?+

No. They can catch unsupported quotations, but meaning and ownership still need your review. Treat every AI result as a draft.
